Luciferjones

Of late I have delivered a number of lectures and presentations on new approaches to pre-production and in particular the use of Celtx script and pre-production software. One in particular, presentated to staff at the Australian Film TV and Radio School, gave the opportunity to touch on ‘the philosophy of the tools’ and ways to reconsider the new paradigms the digital age offers to how we might build cinematic form. What surprised and excited me from this presentation was the very fast and immediate flow of ideas about what could be added to Celtx - within minutes a flurry of concepts far outside of traditional thinking were offered up; from bar-graphs of narrative tension scene to scene, to integration with editing systems in new ways.
